Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer With Us

We are looking for volunteers to offer assistance in many areas, including social media, grant writing, administration, fundraising, and more. Volunteer opportunities are open to anyone 18+. Most of our volunteer opportunities are virtual, though we also have a need for in-person volunteers based in Central Florida. We highly recommend that volunteers join our Advisory Committee to make the most impact, if they have the capacity. Please visit our Advisory Committee page to learn more. If you are able to volunteer any skills and support to our organization, please reach out! You can email us at beck@basicallywonderful.online or fill out the form below to get involved!

Become a Peer Advocate with the Resource Navigation Program

The Resource Navigation Program is a virtual peer-to-peer service designed to help disabled folks navigate various complicated resources. Disabled individuals can reach out for assistance with many different activities, from making a phone call to filling out an application, and more.

Peer Advocates are peers with the lived experience of being disabled. As peers who have navigated similar complicated resources as our clients, you should be able to work with them from a place of understanding. Each individual requesting assistance will be connected with a Peer Advocate and provided one-to-one support as you navigate through resources together.

Volunteers should be disabled and/or neurodivergent individuals who have an interest in working 1:1 with their disabled peers.

Email us at beck@basicallywonderful.online to learn more or fill out the form below to apply.
